2020 Miss Interglobal: Introducing Miss Canada Sethe Nakib

Sethe Nakib will represent Canada in the upcoming 2020 Miss Interglobal pageant.

Sethe stands 165 cm and she is 24 years old. She is from Toronto, Canada. Currently, she is in the process of becoming a Signal Specialist at the Canadian Army. She is a proud Canadian who aspires to establish her own NGO in Bangladesh. The prime objective of this NGO would be to provide educational resources to children in need. Last year, she had an opportunity to discuss her Bangladeshi roots and culture at the Canadian Parliament and was recognized for her tireless efforts.

Furthermore, Sethe has devoted more than 700 hours to volunteer in her community. This includes various mental health campaigns. She is a brand ambassador of Okay Movement, a platform that encourages people to speak about mental health. She wants to disassociate the stigma of mental illness that is prevalent in our society. She works with women’s shelters to provide support. Sethe perceives this to be the most fulfilling endeavor considering she is able to positively impact others’ lives. Other organizations that she proudly associates with are MEDLIFE, Make A Wish Foundation, Vanier Peer mentorship and Enfant Soleil.

She has a Diploma in Accounting from Vanier College and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing at John Molson School of Business. She has participated in various case competitions and collaborated with others to provide effective solutions to business. Additionally, she has a passion for drawing and dancing. As a result, she has had various opportunities to judge talent shows in her community. She holds free online painting classes for kids to encourage creativity. Sethe believes that these events enable her to influence youngsters and encourage them to follow their passions.

Sethe is of the opinion that participating in this pageant will permit her to do what she is doing on a larger scale. She will be able to garner more support to offer more educational resources to impoverished children. Similarly, this opportunity will also enable her to create awareness to empower education and women in an international platform.

Most amazing thing about her country:

"Canada is the second largest country in the world which advocates for peace and the protection of natural resources. It has more lakes than the rest of the world combined with 20 percent of the world's freshwater. Niagara Falls is among the biggest site of tourism. In addition, Yellowknife is the go-to destination in Canada for the Northern Lights which is mesmerizing and dreamy to witness. Enriched with multicultural values, Canada is home to millions of refugees and immigrants around the world."

The first edition of Miss Interglobal will take place in India.
