Paola Delgado will represent Paraguay in the upcoming 2020 Miss Teen Earth pageant.
Paola is a proud 18-year-old Paraguayan. Regarding her studies, she finished high school in 2019 with a Degree in "Computer Science." This year (2020) she started studying Civil Engineering at the Catholic University of Asunción in Paraguay.
She genuinely shared, "Since I was a little girl I always liked to dance! I love to dance several years, I dedicated myself to dance in a Dance Academy! I practiced different styles, ballet, jazz, Paraguayan dance, among others. Unfortunately, at the age of 12, when I started playing handball, I could no longer attend the Dance Academy."
"In sports, it was very good for me! I played sports like: swimming, basketball, soccer, tennis and handball. Handball is my favorite sport! I am currently a player for the Cerro Porteño club in Paraguay. I already represented my country with the Paraguayan Handball Team in a South American tournament in which Paraguay was champion! In that same international tournament I got the prize as the goalkeeper with the least defeated fence."
"In 2019, when I got into the world of contests, I started representing my beloved city of Asunción! After that, when I won the national pageant of my country, I had the opportunity to represent Paraguay." She won the crown for Miss Teen Earth Paraguay in the Miss Ambassadors Paraguay teen pageant. "Now, I must represent my country in the Miss Teen Earth 2020 pageant! I love this pageant because it is a pageant with a purpose! A contest where the environment is given great importance and I like that very much!"
Indeed, she values nature, "Since I was little, I always liked all animals. On several occasions, I saved the lives of many animals! I treated their wounds and then adopted them, such as dogs, cats, turtles, rabbits. I also really like taking care of plants. They are very important! With my grandmother we always dedicate ourselves to planting trees that will bear fruit or that will bear beautiful flowers!"
Paola embodies the spirit of humanity, "It should also be noted that whenever I have the opportunity to help others, I do it! Especially the neediest people! In my country we are in a cold season and what I did was donate coats that I no longer used to people who need them. In addition, due to the pandemic, there are many people who were left without work, so, with the help of my family, what I did was make donations of food to the most needy people, we also usually distribute food for lunch or dinner."
In conclusion, "Becoming the next Miss Teen Earth would be the best thing that could happen to me, it would be an honor to have the opportunity to represent all the teenagers in the world and gain an incredible influence to be able to help many people and animals of the whole world. I would also use that influence to educate all people to take care of the environment, planet Earth is our home, let's take care of it!"
"Oh, and most importantly! I almost forget it. I handle three languages: Spanish, basic English and Guaraní (language of Paraguay)."
