Khalil comes from Pagadian
City, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Peninsula Region and he is proud to represent
the entire region. He is an accomplished corporate executive for a global
advertising group from his extensive educational background from San Beda
College and the Asian Institute of Management - EXCELL. A Certified Public
Accountant, he has been an auditor and provided assistance to the Red Cross in
Geneva, Switzerland and the Henry Dunant Center for Dialogue. As an advocate of
the “Acceptance without Exceptions” or AwE campaign, he seeks to reach equality
and respect deserved by all people across the gender and sexual spectrum. He
uses the "inverted triangle" icon to symbolize the AWE campaign,
which represents equality for all LGBT in all aspects of life. Khalil believes
that it is the most important weapon to battle prejudice and discrimination is
to use his voice.

The grand
coronation night will be on October 2, 2016 at the University of the
Philippines Theater, Diliman, Quezon City. The hosts are: Media Personality
Paolo Bediones, 2008 Miss Earth Karla Henry and 2002 Mutya ng Pilipinas 1st Runner-Up
Kristine Caballero. The winner will represent the Philippines in the 2017
Mister Gay World contest.
