Pageant of the World 2019: Miss Norway is Danielle Andrews

Danielle Andrews will represent Norway for the first time in the third edition of Pageant of the World.

She studied Bachelor of Communications for Theatre. She has been raised in a supportive and deeply connected small community. Experiences she gained through childhood showed how powerful a community can be when they come together, she had seen this first hand throughout many natural disasters her small town has endured. Through these moments Danielle has fallen in love with working in community throughout her childhood she has volunteered at many community days and activities.

Danielle's passion for community work continued into her current job working as a Communications & Youth Engagement Officer for a rural arts company; Orana Arts. She works closely with community in delivering art projects that assist with professional development opportunities for regional artists. Danielle also helps facilitate a youth theatre company which holds visions of upskilling the youth and preparing them for tertiary studies in the arts, also the productions chosen for the children reflect current issues within society and show the children the power of the arts; when looking to start important conversations or inspire change.

Danielle outside of work has a number of acting/ production and modelling credits some of those achievements include; working on set of ABC funded series The Angus Project, and an SBS funded show Tip Rats. Danielle also was recently an emerging producer and performer on a touring Theatre Production 'A little Piece of Heaven' that detailed the life of Uncle Dick and Aunty Ruth Carney and their struggles as Indigenous Australian's.

She is extremely passionate about the Australian environment and native wildlife! Her home community is currently suffering one of the worst droughts in Australian History and her ambitions are to help her home community and other communities in the same situation in any way she possibly can!

Finals to be held in Sofitel, Sydney, Australia on Sunday, October 13, 2019.
