2019 Misters of Puerto Rico candidate, Mister Salinas Model - Rafael Cruz Rodriguez recently visited and offered pet foods in Santuario Canita with the assistance of the Plena de Salinas community.
Aside from the usual segments in pageants, interview, formal wear or swimwear, the contestants in Misters of Puerto Rico are also engaging in their chosen charities. Rafael, who is fond with animals, like dogs, conducted a charity event in Santuario Canitas.
He uttered, "Nothing releases our greatness as the desire to help and serve. I had the opportunity to visit the Santuario Canitas in Guayama and there is no great joy to see the happiness of those who received me there. I appreciate the community in Plena de Salinas for their support to bring and offer food for these beautiful animals. Happy to be able to contribute to this sanctuary that without a doubt does an extraordinary job with the animals. They will continue to see my great work with this sanctuary and the genuine desire to be able to give them my full support." Donated items were food packs for dogs and cats.
