Jamie Boyd will represent Australia in the third edition of Pageant of the World.
Growing up with her grandparents, Jamie has been inspired by their passion to live their lives to the fullest. She has found that it is her duty to help the aging Australian population and has decided to pursue studies in nursing following in her grandmother's footsteps. She is passionate about supporting cancer research as her grandfather is a Leukemia survivor and she is an active volunteer for Cure Cancer Australia and Cancer Council Australia.
Previously studying Tourism at Taronga Conservation Society, Jamie has noticed the huge impact that tourism has on Australia’s unique nature, wildlife, culture and heritage. She is an advocate for wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability through promoting ecotourism to reduce our carbon footprint on the Earth.
She believes that no matter who you are, there is always something you can do to make a positive contribution in the world.
She is the second Miss Australia to fully participate in the contest. The representative in 2016 didn't continue due to health reasons. In 2018, Alana Thomas landed as top 5 finalist.
Finals to be held in Sofitel, Sydney, Australia on Sunday, October 13, 2019. Reserve your seats and email info@pageantoftheworld.com or buy your tickets here https://pageantoftheworld.com/tickets/
